If you have a trip to London coming up and aren’t sure on the key things you need to pack, you’re in the right place! We’re not introducing a full packing list here, but a few great tips of things you might have forgotten that will come in really handy for your time in London. So, whether you’re going to London for a day or a week, life will be easier when you pack these three things! So, let’s get into it and help you relax when it comes to packing for a trip to London.
All Of Your Travel Documents
The first thing that you will need to pack for your trip to London is all of your travel documents! We’re in a day and age where everything is digital, however you should always carry printed versions of all of your documents just to make sure you have a backup if you need it. This should include your flight tickets to London, your train tickets, the confirmations for your parking in Mayfair or at London Victoria Station parking, your hotel booking and then also any activities you have booked for your trip. When travelling into a city you should always have backups on hand, so this is something really important that could make life so much easier when you’re in the city.
Comfortable Shoes
In our opinion, there is no better way to see London than by walking, in which case you will need some very comfortable shoes! Whilst your entire trip might not be by foot, one of the best ways to see the city is by walking around and exploring the different areas as you move across the city. You will be able to access so much more than you would in a taxi or on the tube, so it is definitely worth preparing with comfy shoes! You might want to take dressier shoes for the evening, but you will fit right in if you wear comfy boots or trainers in the day with a slightly dressier outfit. Walking around the city will not only save you money and help you to stay healthy, but it will also give you a completely different experience of London that we know you will fall in love with!
Waterproofs
Last but not least, when you are heading to London, you’re definitely going to need to pack waterproofs, whether it’s a waterproof coat, an umbrella or waterproof shoes. The weather in London can be pretty unpredictable, so one day you might find wonderful weather and then the next a rain storm! Don’t let this put you off as there is so much to see and do in London no matter what the weather is like, however it is advised that you are able to carry your waterproof with you, as the weather can also change throughout the day. Choose a small umbrella or a fold up waterproof so you’re prepared for the worst case scenario in terms of the weather.
